Coron is a separate group of islands from the main Palawan island. All of the islands here are part of the Calamian Archipelago in Northern Palawan. Often compared to El Nido, a popular Palawan destination, Coron has a unique charm of its own.
Hop on and discover Coron’s greatest views. This town in Palawan is best known for its remote islands, rock formations, lagoons, underground caves, and shipwrecks. Tourists can witness these breathtaking sights by going island hopping to Twin Lagoon, Kayangan, and Barracuda Lake – the rock formations and the turquoise waters of these lakes will make you stop and stare for a moment before diving into it.
Aside from the lagoons and lakes, the white sand beaches of Banol beach, Diwaran Island and Malcapuya Island are just a few beaches where you can spend a relaxing day on white sand and crystal clear waters. For first-time visitors, Mount Tapyas will give you a panoramic view of Coron town – a peak marked by a giant white crucifix that towers 210 meters above sea level. For adventure seekers, there are a number of Japanese shipwrecks from the Second World War around Coron that you can dive or snorkel into. These wrecks are usually covered in corals, turning them into a home for marine life.
